Streets of Old Europe

There was something magical about wandering through the old European towns and cities.

The centuries-old walls, cobblestone streets, narrow laneways and archways that seemed to lead you somewhere unexpected.

You'd turn a corner or step through a doorway and suddenly find yourself in the prettiest little courtyard. Sometimes there was a tiny café tucked away, other times an artisan shop or workshop hidden down in a basement.

And everywhere, those gorgeous little pops of colour. Flowers spilling over balconies, brightening window boxes and bringing life to the old buildings.

I loved that you never quite knew what you'd discover next.

Streets of Old Europe is my interpretation of those memories. The darker tones reflect the old fortified walls and winding laneways, while the bursts of fuchsia capture those beautiful blooms that caught my eye along the way.

A little piece of our European adventure, brought to life in colour.
